US Airways flies directly to Jamaica from Florida

US Airways launches new daily non-stop flights between Fort Lauderdale and Kingston

Kingston, Jamaica (March 8, 2005) – US Airways has launched a new daily non-stop flight between Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Kingston, Jamaica. US Airways now has four routes to Jamaica, including flights from Boston, Charlotte and Philadelphia to Montego Bay.

The outbound US Airways flight number 263 departs Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) daily at 11:15am and arrives at Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) in Kingston at 12:56pm. Departing Jamaica, flight number 260 leaves daily at 2:20pm and arrives in Fort Lauderdale at 4pm.

"We are extremely excited to expand our partnership with US Airways. The daily flight between Fort Lauderdale and Kingston provides easy access for visitors and Jamaicans living in South Florida," says Paul Pennicook, Director of Tourism for Jamaica. "We see this new US Airways route as yet another example of Jamaica’s continued strong growth."
