Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (February 17, 2004) - Viva Wyndham Resorts has opened full-service spas at three of its properties in the Dominican Republic and Mexico. Each spa incorporates the serenity, beauty and products indigenous to the resorts’ surroundings.
The Kelive Spa at the Viva Wyndham Tangerine and the Renova Spa at the Viva Wyndham Maya and Viva Wyndham Vallarta offer a variety of relaxing and revitalizing treatments. Services include soothing massages, unique body wraps, invigorating facials, aromatherapy, salon services, and more.
The Viva Wyndham Tangerine is located on the Costa Verde ("green coast") of the Dominican Republic, an unspoiled area of tropical forests and white sand beaches. The resort’s Kelive Spa offers comfortable treatment rooms where guests can enjoy a relaxing or muscular massage, intensive lifting and regeneration facials, body wraps, therapeutics, and aromatics. Spa treatments, which are exclusively designed by Kelive Spa specialists, include the sea algae treatment wrap and Dead Sea mud and coconut oil massage. The spa also features a large modern gym, sauna room, Turkish bath, Jacuzzi, hydrotherapy and Vichy bath, and a beauty salon. In Mexico, the Viva Wyndham Maya, located in Playa del Carmen, and the Viva Wyndham Vallarta, just outside of Puerto Vallarta, both feature the Renova Spa. Spanish for renew, the Renova incorporates natural products into treatments that relieve everyday stress and fatigue and that heighten the senses through spiritual and physical harmony. Spa treatments include revitalizing facials, body wraps such as the tropical body wrap that uses a combination of tropical fruits to rehydrate the skin, the Lomi Lomi massage, a Hawaiian therapeutic technique to improve blood flow, salon services, and more.
The Renova Spa at the Viva Wyndham Maya boasts a sauna room, two steam rooms, two Jacuzzis, four massage cabins (one for hydrotherapy treatments), a beauty salon, and fitness center. The spa is open daily from 8am to 8pm. Use of the fitness center, steam room and Jacuzzi is complimentary to all guests and those of the nearby Viva Wyndham Azteca can also take advantage of the extensive services offered at the spa.
The Renova Spa at the Viva Wyndham Vallarta features steam baths, a sauna room, cold and hot Jacuzzis, comfortable locker rooms and showers. The spa is open daily from 8am to 8pm and use of the sauna room and Jacuzzis is complimentary to all guests.
Also in the Dominican Republic is the Metamorphosis Spa at the Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace. Treatments are designed to restore the body’s natural energetic balance. Services include soothing massages such as the reflexology and anti-stress massage, body wraps such as the mud body and aromatic body wraps, invigorating hydrotherapies, facials, salon services and more. Metamorphosis features a relaxation room, sauna room, fitness center, Turkish bath, two separate Jacuzzi rooms, four massage cabins, two hydrotherapy cabins, and two cabins for beauty salon treatments. The spa is open daily from 8am to 8pm. Use of the fitness center and Jacuzzis are complimentary to all guests. All spa services must be purchased additionally and are not incorporated into the resort’s all-inclusive price.
