New non-stop flight between Atlanta and Fort-de-France to begin in December

Atlanta, Georgia, USA (September 2006) – Effective December 16, 2006 Delta Air Lines begins weekly non-stop service between Atlanta, Georgia and Fort-de-France, Martinique.

Delta will offer 16 first class and 134 economy class seats on a Boeing 737-800 aircraft for the service. Flight 409 will depart Atlanta every Saturday at 9:45am and arrive in Fort de France at 3:15pm. Flight 410 will depart Fort de France every Saturday at 4:05pm and arrive in Atlanta at 7:40pm.

“With the addition of service to the beautiful island of Martinique from December, Delta will be the only US carrier to serve a destination in the French West Indies non stop from the US
mainland,” said Glen Hauenstein, Delta’s executive vice-president, Network Planning and Revenue Management.

He added, “Our customers now have an even greater choice of a unique and exciting destination as Delta expands the scope or our network throughout the Caribbean, offering our customers the opportunity to broaden their horizons and explore Martinique.”
