Travel & Leisure Survey Places Hotel Best in the Region Two Years Running
New York, NY (July 15, 2004) - Cap Juluca, Anguilla, was voted the top hotel in the Caribbean, Bermuda and The Bahamas by Travel + Leisure magazine readers in its 2004 World's Best Awards, the same #1 ranking received in the magazine's 2003 survey. Hotels were judged in the categories of rooms/facilities, location, service, restaurants/food and value. Results of this ninth annual survey are featured in the August 2004 issue and available online at travelandleisure.com/worldsbest.
This recognition follows Cap Juluca's #1 award for service in the Caribbean, Bermuda and The Bahamas in Travel + Leisure's World's Best Service Readers' Survey 2004. These results were published in the June issue.
"We're very proud of our superb staff, all of whom deserve praise for their contribution in helping us achieve this distinction of being best in the region two years running," said Eustace Guishard, General Manager of Cap Juluca. "This outstanding honor is consistent with the feedback we receive from our guests and why so many stay with us again and again," added Guishard.
Said Nancy Novogrod, Editor-in-Chief of Travel + Leisure magazine: "The winners of our World's Best Awards readers' survey distinguish themselves against others in their highly competitive field because of their consistent level of quality and attention to every detail. They are experts in providing not only a sense of satisfaction and security, but also an element of dazzle which makes the memory linger and maybe even enrich over time."
For the survey, a questionnaire was developed by the editors of Travel + Leisure in association with Harris Interactive and was made available online to subscribers during the first quarter of this year. Respondents were asked to rate hotels on five characteristics. They reported where they had traveled worldwide and how, and rated only the attributes that were relevant to their recent travel experiences. Travel + Leisure is published by American Express Publishing.
