American Eagle launches weekend service between Chicago and The Bahamas
New non-stop jet service between Chicago and Freeport, Grand Bahama, starts May 6
Fort Worth, Texas, USA (February 28, 2006) – American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will add non-stop weekend jet service between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Freeport, Bahamas, beginning May 6, 2006. The new service will be offered each Saturday and Sunday through September 3, using 70-seat Canadair CRJ-700 jets. This new service is in addition to American Eagle’s daily non-stop jet service between O’Hare and Nassau, which began last June.
Subject to government approval, flight 4477 departs Chicago at 1:10pm and arrives in Freeport at 5:12pm, and returning from Freeport, flight 4478 departs at 5:52pm and arrives in Chicago at 8pm.
“We’re pleased to expand our service from Chicago to The Islands of the Bahamas,” said American Eagle president, Peter Bowler. “American Eagle provides the only non-stop service from O’Hare to The Bahamas, reflecting our commitment to introduce new and exciting destinations to our Chicago customers.”
American Eagle is the only regional airline at O’Hare to offer its customers easy and convenient jetbridge boarding for all flights.
