Dominican Republic resort to host the 2006 Caribbean Spa & Wellness Conference

Canoa Coral By Hilton Resort in beautiful Bayahibe to become the next meeting place for the region’s most important spa industry event

Bayahibe, Dominican Republic (October 20, 2006) – The Dominican Republic’s exquisite Canoa Coral By Hilton Resort will this year host the Caribbean Spa and Wellness Association’s annual trade show. From December 3 to 6, the resort will receive delegates, exhibitors and attendees for the 2006 Caribbean Spa & Wellness Conference. Following the extremely successful conference format of the 2005 event in St Lucia, this trade show will provide a lively venue for spa and wellness industry partners to exchange information and ideas in interactive presentations and panels.

“We are honoured to have been chosen as the host hotel for this prestigious trade show,” said Simon Suarez, executive vice-president of Coral Hotels & Resorts. “Our spectacular location on a stretch of sandy beach just minutes from the beautiful city of La Romana is only one of the added attractions – our service, our facilities and our commitment to excellence will also help ensure the success of this very important event.”

During the trade show, exhibitors will be able to promote their facilities, products and services. This year, strategic visits by executives to all booths are part of the plan, ensuring that all exhibitors have the opportunity to meet with the spa and wellness execs that best meet their needs. In addition, a business card exchange cocktail party will allow delegates to meet executives face to face, cultivate new relationships and strengthen existing ones.

Among the topics to be discussed are the state of the spa and wellness industry in the Caribbean; the marketing and selling of spa and wellness services and facilities; the education, training and certification of Caribbean spa and wellness staff; Caribbean products for Caribbean spas; investment opportunities and more.

Spa owners and operators, directors, managers, spa product manufacturers and suppliers, hotel owners and operators and anyone and everyone related to the spa and wellness industry are urged to attend. During the conference, they will have the opportunity to see the latest offerings of products, equipment and services for the spa and wellness centres in the Caribbean.

Conference registration deadline is Friday, November 17, 2006 at 5pm. No registration available after this date, and there is no registration available on site.

Exhibition, speaking and sponsorship opportunities are available.
