Sunscape Puerto Aventuras in Mexico celebrates reopening with reduced rates

Newly renovated all-inclusive Sunscape Puerto Aventuras offers rates starting at $78 through December 2005

Philadelphia, Pensylvania, USA (September 28, 2005) – Following the completion of $3.5 million in property-wide improvements, Sunscape Puerto Aventuras welcomes back guests with 40 per cent off regular rates through December.

Located on the Riviera Maya in Mexico, this all-inclusive resort for families, couples, and singles is offering a special rate of $78 per person, per night, based on double occupancy, through December 22, 2005. In addition, children under the age of 12 stay free for this time period when sharing a room with two paying adults. Rates include accommodations, all meals and beverages, resort activities and water sports, entertainment, taxes, and tips.

Sunscape Puerto Aventuras' summer renewal project included the rebuilding and refurnishing of 88 of its 305 rooms. The remaining rooms had been remodeled during an extensive renovation last December, which included the addition of a new swimming pool with swim-up bar, a large Jacuzzi, restaurants and bars, Sunscape's signature kids' Explorer's Club, a wedding gazebo, a completely renovated spa and fitness center, and sports, entertainment and activities venues.

The recent summer overhaul included improvements to the adult pool, the addition of new safety-standard balcony handrails to all guest rooms, three new elevators, a new generator, and two new air-conditioning coolers capable of running the entire hotel. Five of the resort’s bars and restaurants have also been refurbished, including the redecoration of the World Café restaurant, and reconstruction of the Barracuda Bar, the Sugar Reef Bar, and the Mexican restaurant El Patio, which now includes a terrace, new furniture and décor, and a completely new kitchen. The Italian restaurant Da Mario also received a new kitchen.

Set amidst the beauty and mystery of the Mayan coast, Sunscape Puerto Aventuras rests on a private beach in the marina community of Puerto Aventuras, just 10 minutes south of Playa del Carmen and minutes north of the Mayan ruins of Tulum. The hotel's guest rooms and suites offer balcony or terrace views of the nearby marina or beautiful Caribbean and are finely decorated in bright colors and polished-stone floors. They feature one king or two double beds, climate-controlled air conditioning, full bathroom, hair dryer, cable TV, direct telephone, in-room safe, mini-bar refreshed daily, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, and terrace or patio.

The property offers guests two pools (one for adults only) and one 30-person beachside Jacuzzi, five restaurants, three bars, a full-service spa, tour desk, gardens with sun beds and sunshades, PADI dive center, state-of-the-art fitness center, Explorer's Club for kids (ages 3-12) with supervised activities, conference room, business services, on-site shopping, laundry services, and an extensive variety of water, land, and beach activities.
