Earn free honeymoons through Marriott's Rewarding Weddings program
Participating Marriott hotels located in Aruba, Cancun, the Cayman Islands, Curacao, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts and Nevis, and St. Thomas, USVI
Washington , DC, USA (October 27, 2005) – Marriott Rewards has launched a Rewarding Weddings website, which provides information on how couples who hold their wedding receptions at participating Marriott hotels can earn enough Marriott Rewards points for a free honeymoon.
Receptions must be held on a Friday or Sunday between January 1 and September 30, 2006, and can be booked between November 1, 2005, and March 30, 2006. With Rewarding Weddings couples will receive the following Marriott Rewards points when they spend between $15,000 and $25,000 on food and beverages at their reception:
- $15,000 earns 150,000 Marriott Rewards points - enough points for a week’s stay at any Marriott hotel worldwide, seven nights in any three Marriott or Renaissance hotels in Hawaii, or seven nights in any three hotels in the UK and Ireland.
- $20,000 earns 200,000 Marriott Rewards points - enough points for a seven-day cruise to the Caribbean, round-trip rail tours on the Orient Express or golf school for two.
- $25,000 earns 250,000 Marriott Rewards points - enough points for a week-long complete travel package, including seven nights at any participating Marriott International hotel, frequent flier miles, and 25 per cent off a Hertz car rental.
Participating Marriott hotels in the Caribbean are located in Aruba, Cancun, the Cayman Islands, Curacao, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts and Nevis, and St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands.
Marriott has trained more than 2,500 Certified Wedding Event Planners who can assist with scheduling and planning details or work directly with the couple’s outside wedding planner. Each Marriott Certified Wedding Event Planner passes a certification course to enhance skills in wedding protocols, etiquette, and culinary and decorating trends, with training ranging from traditions in ethnic weddings to destination and military weddings. Marriott Certified Wedding Event Planners are on-site at Marriott and Renaissance hotels and resorts throughout the US and the Caribbean.
