Puerto Rico named among top five shore diving destinations in the Caribbean
Scuba Diving magazine's 2006 Readers’ Choice awards also name Puerto Rico as a top dive destination
(February 15, 2006) – Readers of Scuba Diving magazine have named Puerto Rico as one of the Top Five Destinations for Shore Diving in the Caribbean/Atlantic region and one of the Top 20 Overall Dive Destinations in this region.
“Scuba Diving is the only dive publication that asks readers to rate their dive vacations for the benefit of other divers,” says Buck Butler, editor of the magazine, which has an audience of 1,110,000. “For this issue, the reporters in the field are our readers, diving the world and recording their observations.”
Thousands of Scuba Diving subscribers and web users rated their experiences at dive destinations on a scale of one to five. Final scores, which are listed in the January/February 2006 issue of the magazine, represent the percentage of fours and fives awarded. A minimum number of responses were required for a destination to be included in the ratings.
