Air Montserrat offers charter flights to/from Antigua
Montserrat, West Indies (October 2006) – The Emerald Isle of the Caribbean is proud to announce new charter flights from Montserrat to Antigua. Air Montserrat is scheduled to begin service in mid-October operating daily flights between the two islands.
“This is an important addition to airlift options and reflects Montserrat’s growing market,” said Ernestine Cassell, Director of Tourism. “It gives international travellers the option and flexibility to charter this service to better suite their travel schedule.”
Air Montserrat, owned by Philip Rogers, a native Montserratian, is based in Montserrat and operated by Trans Anguilla Airways (2000) Limited. “It is my hope to provide superior service and a friendly and convenient alternative to visitors travelling to Montserrat,” said Rogers.
The airline, operating a Britten Norman Islander that holds up to nine passengers, will also offer charters to neighbouring islands, sightseeing tours and cargo lift. One-way fares between Montserrat and Antigua start at US$65 inclusive of all taxes and charges.
Once the Montserrat-Antigua route is established, Air Montserrat plans to extend its services to other islands in the region, which will give Montserrat its first direct flight services to other Caribbean islands since the opening of its new airport in July 2005. Extended service will include St Kitts, Nevis, St Maarten and Guadeloupe.
