Trinidad & Tobago welcomes new Delta Air Lines service
Non-stop service from Atlanta, Georgia to Port-of-Spain begins December 9
Trinidad & Tobago (November 10, 2006) – Travelling from the land of peaches and southern hospitality to the cultural capital of the Caribbean and industrial epicenter of the West Indies is now easier than ever. On December 9, Delta Air Lines will launch new non-stop service from Atlanta, Georgia to Port-of-Spain, Trinidad.
In time for winter travel and the annual Carnival festival, the airline will offer direct service from the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta to Piarco International Airport in Trinidad. Flight 319 will depart Atlanta four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday) at 2:50pm and arrive in Port-of-Spain at 8:30pm. The return flight 322 will depart Port-of-Spain four times a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday) at 9:05am and arrive in Atlanta at 1:15pm.
“This is big news for Trinidad & Tobago,” said Dr James Hepple, president of the Tourism and Development Company of Trinidad & Tobago. “The addition of this flight allows us to introduce the business appeal, culture and charisma of Trinidad & Tobago to a huge segment of business and leisure travellers. We are pleased that our efforts to streamline travel to our island nation have resulted in this important and convenient Delta flight.”
