The Green Monkey Dive Shop soon to offer accommodation as well
Montserrat (January 11, 2006) – Scuba divers in Montserrat will now find a full-service dive shop and watersport rental facility on the southern shore of Little Bay. The Green Monkey Dive Shop offers multiple day diving packages, discover scuba, and PADI training courses, as well as guided snorkelling tours to nearby Rendezvous Bay and other local sites. Divers or other water enthusiasts may purchase or rent diving and snorkelling gear at the shop. In addition, items such as inflatable dive kayaks, sea scooters and snorkelling rafts are available for hourly or daily rental.
The Green Monkey Dive Shop operates under the expert guidance of master scuba diver instructor Troy Deppermann. With twenty-plus years of dive experience, Deppermann is abundantly qualified to lead experienced divers, as well as instructing novice divers. He possesses nine advanced specialty certifications, including underwater navigator, night diver, deep diver, search and recovery, emergency first responder, and peak performance buoyancy, as well as specialty training in AWARE coral reef conservation and Project AWARE.
Following an afternoon of diving or snorkelling, guests can enjoy a refreshing drink at the dive shop’s bar, The Monkey Bar. The new beach deck provides a perfect location for sipping a cool drink while watching the surf and sunset.
Located in Little Bay at the site formerly known as the Log On Bar, The Green Monkey Dive Shop will soon offer accommodations for their guests at the new two-room apartment adjoining the Deppermann home in the Old Towne area of Montserrat. The apartment will consist of a two-room suite with a private bedroom and adjoining full bath, a living room and fully equipped kitchenette. Guests will have access to the private pool and gazebo area, as well as laundry facilities.
