Puerto Rico Tourism Company hosts free outdoor New Year’s celebration
Ring in the New Year with food, drinks, concerts and fireworks
New York, NY (December 18, 2006) – This year, as part of Puerto Rico’s New Year festivities, the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC) is hosting the “Celebremos con Puerto Rico 2007” extravaganza at Puerto Rico’s new convention centre. The free celebration will include musical performances by local celebrities, authentic food, island cocktails and a colourful fireworks display, as the island rings in the New Year live on Univision. These vivid festivities against the backdrop of the new convention centre’s ultra-modern and impressive architectural design will create an unforgettable evening.
Visitors to San Juan can join locals as PRTC sponsor’s the largest outdoor festivity of the year with musical performances by Julio César Sanabria, Ricardo Villanueva, LimiT21, Héctor “The Father” and his Los Rompe Discotecas and NG2.
Festivities begin at 8pm on Sunday December 31 at the Puerto Rico Convention Center located at 100 Convention Blvd in San Juan. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. No tickets are required.
