Grace Bay Club claims Condé Nast Johansens’ 2007 Most Excellent Resort for the Atlantic, Caribbean and Pacific Islands region
Providenciales, Turks & Caicos (February 13, 2007) – Known for its spectacular setting on Grace Bay Beach in Turks & Caicos, luxurious accommodations and superb, personalized service, Grace Bay Club has claimed the 2007 Most Excellent Resort (Atlantic, Caribbean and Pacific Islands) award from Condé Nast Johansens, one of the world’s leading hotel authorities. Grace Bay Club was one of only 25 award recipients.
The Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence are given annually to those properties worldwide that represent the finest standards and best value for money in luxury and independent accommodation, as chosen by its readers, hotel guests and Condé Nast Johansens’ inspection teams.
Located on Providenciales in the Turks & Caicos Islands, Grace Bay Club is a world-class luxury oceanfront resort and residential destination. An award-winning member of Leading Hotels of the World, Grace Bay Club is consistently ranked among the world’s finest resorts. The 11-acre property comprises The Hotel, a romantic adults-only enclave of 21 opulent suites, which will open in spring 2007; The Villas, a family-friendly retreat with 38 expansive luxury suites and one-of-a-kind penthouses; and The Estate, a collection of 22 custom residences and penthouse suites set to debut in 2008.
Situated on the water’s edge along the island’s finest stretch of beach, this prominent landmark is known as Provo’s first luxury resort. Among Grace Bay Club’s distinguishing features are three dining venues under the direction of well-known chef Gerry Gnassi, including the extraordinary Anacaona, the Anani Spa, an imaginative children’s program and a full array of recreational activities, including tennis and all manner of water sports.
Presented by Cindy Crawford at Hotel Bel-Air before an audience of some of the world’s most accomplished hoteliers, the award was received by Grace Bay Club Resort CEO and developer, Mark Durliat, and managing director, Nikheel Advani.
“The timing of this award could not be better,” commented Advani. “It is a perfect prelude to the upcoming opening of The Hotel at Grace Bay Club, which has undergone a $6 million year-long transformation that retained only the resort’s elegant exterior. We are thrilled to share the spotlight with such legendary properties as Parrot Cay, Hotel Bel-Air and One&Only Palmilla. This award is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our dedicated and energetic staff who are committed to making Grace Bay Club truly extraordinary. In a surprisingly short period, we will have accomplished our objective of offering both couples and families the most luxurious resort experience in the Caribbean. This award tells me we are consistently providing our guests with a travel experience that goes well beyond their expectations.”
