American Eagle to launch new service between St Lucia and Barbados
St Lucia–Barbados air service begins September 5, 2007
San Juan, Puerto Rico (May 29, 2007) – American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, continues to grow its service in the Caribbean with a new inter-island flight between St Lucia and Barbados beginning September 5. The flight will operate three days per week using 64-seat Super ATR aircraft.
The schedule for the new service is as follows (all times local): Flight #5058 departs St Lucia on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 4:35pm and arrives in Barbados at 5:35pm. The return flight #5040 departs Barbados on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 6:05pm and arrives in St Lucia at 7:05pm.
The new service will provide improved inter-island connections for the many visitors who travel to the Caribbean and would like to experience the wonderful beaches, the excellent food and the sounds and rhythms these destinations have to offer.
