The Turks and Caicos National Museum is the "gem" of the Caribbean. It is housed in Guinep House, built in the 1800's, and named for the large Guinep trees in front. Our main attraction: The Molasses Reef Wreck, which is the oldest shipwreck ever discovered in the western hemisphere and is housed on the first floor of the Museum. On the second floor is the Lucayan Gallery and information about life in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Next door is the Botanical and Cultural garden, a must see for those interested in natural and medicinal plants of TCI. Hours are Monday-Saturday 9-1.
