Press Release 2012
St John, USVI (June 7, 2012) - Next door to Concordia Eco-Resort, Lameshur Bay is "secret" no more! Frommer's recent article 9 Secret Shorelines highlights this tucked away white sand beach and snorkel spot, which is overlooked by many travelers to the Caribbean. If you have yet to discover Lameshur, be sure to take your snorkel gear and your hiking shoes.
In addition to the beach and snorkeling, the ruins overlooking the bay are worth exploring. And several hiking trails start at Lameshur Bay. Leaving the parking lot, the Reef Bay Trail heads west, connecting the hiker with the Europa Bay trail, the ruins at Reef Bay Great House, the Reef Bay Sugar Mill ruins and St. John's beloved Petroglyphs.
Heading north past the ranger's house, the Bordeaux Mountain Trail climbs 1200 feet in less than a mile hike straight up the south face of the mountain, offering some spectacular look-outs along the way. Lameshur Bay and the adjacent trails are truly favorites of Concordia's Guests and Staff.
