PINE CAY, Turks & Caicos Islands - March 4, 2008 - The Meridian Club, a private 800-acre island vacation retreat on Pie Cay in Turks Caicos, has recently completed property upgrades throughout the club.
In addition to renovating the twelve rooms and one cottage, and upgrading common spaces, the property also boasts four new boats for guest transport, snorkeling and other activities, and moved reservations to ring directly on-island, providing more personalized service, quick responses to inquiries, and greater knowledge from agents regarding the property and the island. This is helpful, given the family promotion they are offering this summer to celebrate their family.
Beverly Plachta, the new General Manager, stated, "We are very proud of how the island and the property looks. It is one of the reasons I wanted to come back to Pine Cay." She adds, "While other islands continue to overdevelop, Pine Cay is one of the few islands in the Caribbean that is fully committed to keeping the same relaxed quiet and personable experience we have always offered, just a bit more polished now that we have had a facelift."
Unit improvements include the following:
* Repainting of all room interiors and exteriors
* All new soft goods
* New gate and trellis for Sand Dollar Cottage
Property improvements include:
* Reconstruction of lobby and gift shop
* New pool filtration system
* New soft good in bar
* New outdoor chaise lounges and chairs
This summer, The Meridian Club is offering family months in June and July, in which you buy one room at regular price and get the 2nd room for a reduced price for all children under 18, double occupancy. Some restrictions may apply.
Rates at The Meridian Club start at $715 after April 1st and include breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rates are slightly higher for the Sand Dollar Cottage due to the privacy and additional space. Taxes and gratuity not included.
