Divi Resorts Hosts Virginia Madsen, Xavier Samuel, Other Film Industry Dignitaries and Media at an Exclusive After-Party for the 3rd Annual Aruba International Film Festival

Oranjestad, Aruba (July 23, 2012) - On Thursday night, June 28, 2012, the Divi Resorts group hosted a select assembly of film industry guests and international media for an exclusive cocktail social under the stars on an elegantly appointed outdoor terrace area at the Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort.
The social, which was attended by Academy Award and Golden Globe nominated actor Virginia Madsen and actor Xavier Samuel of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" fame, was the official closing party for the 3rd Annual Aruba International Film Festival immediately following the event's final new film screening.
"It has been an honor to host Virginia Madsen, Xavier Samuel and a host of other VIP guests at Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort and to support Aruba's blossoming Film Festival," said Alex Nieuwmeyer, Managing Director of Divi Resorts Aruba and Bonaire. "This was an excellent way for us to showcase our exquisite golf property and other Divi Resorts on Aruba to influential film industry VIPs as well as local and international members of the press."
The event included an open bar with a full selection of wine, beer and cocktails as well as hors d'oeuvres including tuna tataki, lobster shooters and braised lamb chops plus award-winning dessert samplers which were passed around by waitstaff circulating through the crowd.
Attendees entered via a red carpet to the designated event area, with comfortable couches and chairs scattered around the open-air portion of the terrace and also under the large tent.
Beanbag chairs by Fatboy provided an additional way for attendees to relax while listening to music by the dj or live drummer, viewing the original artwork displays by local Aruban artists or admiring the cars provided by event sponsor BMW that were strategically placed around the perimeter of the terrace.
A surprise performance by dancers in traditional feathered headdresses and sparkling sequined costumes kept everyone enthralled while adding a dose of local culture to the event. As a testament to the evening's success, guests enjoyed networking, mixing and mingling with each other into the early morning hours after the social officially concluded.

The Divi & Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives are two sister properties that are set along a wide strip of sand on Druif Beach and which share all inclusive facilities, services and amenities including nine dining options, seven bars, three freshwater pools, a wide range of activities including non-motorized water sports, nightly entertainment and use of the Divi Winds Sports Center with its 30-foot outdoor rock climbing wall on the beach.
The Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort is a high rise resort comprised of spacious studio, one- and two-bedroom suites all with large private balconies set on Aruba's famed Palm Beach and which features the chic Pure Beach restaurant for elegant beachside dining.
The Divi Dutch Village Resort is made up of studio, one- and two-bedroom suites located adjacent to beautiful Druif Beach and tucked behind the Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive.
Shopping is made easy with the new Alhambra Mall adjacent to the casino, which boasts an array of retail fashion shops along with Divi's second, trendy Ginger Asian-fusion restaurant and brand new hot spot Fusion, a chic piano, wine, tapas and cigar bar, both of which just opened in March 2012.
