Hot Pot Restaurant opened its doors 34 years ago and is located at 2 Altamont Terrace, Kingston 5. The restaurant is owned and operated by Mrs Sheila Kerr, and was the brain child of her mother, Mavis Hinds, who was affectionately called Mother by her loving customers.
The interior is decorated with rustic earth tones, giving the ambiance of country living. Plants decorate the dining area, designed to offer privacy to our customers.
The restaurant consist of 2 indoor dining rooms, affectionately called, The Grandma Suite. Patrons can comfortably dine out on the board walk as well as outside, Back Yard Style, at tables tastefully shaded by umbrellas. This is not just a place for local cuisine; it is the place where the food is looked after the Jamaican way.
Traditional favorites are cooked with the efficiency and style that has made this outlet a hot favorite.
Try the steamed fish and okra, curry goat and fried chicken served with yam and dumplings. We have recently introduced Jamaican vegetarian meals, such as curried chocho with salt fish, brown stewed fish tails served with turned cornmeal, and our special steamed vegetables. We also do mouthwatering Chinese and seafood dishes. You will not be disappointed. See you soon!!!
