On request local artist and co-owner of the ecolodge Heleen Cornet will teach watercolor workshops for individuals as well as for groups. During the lessons one subject such as composition, complementary colors, transparent colors and opaque colors will be captured. The workshops take about two hours and materials are provided. The cost of a workshop is $15 per person, this includes materials. Heleen Cornet was born in Holland. In 1975 she came to the Netherlands Antilles. There she has been teaching art in Bonaire, Curacao, Sint Maarten and Saba. Since 1986 she has been working as a full-time artist and her work has been in many international shows. Heleen published "Saban Cottages" a book with watercolors of the Saban houses and "Echoes of the Past" a book about the history of Sint Eustatius with watercolors of the historical buildings. She did the mural in the Sacred Heart Church in the Bottom and illustrated several children's books.
