GETTING THERE BY AIR Flights arrive at Owen Roberts International Airport (airport code GCM) on Grand Cayman or Gerrard Smith International Airport (airport code CYB) on Cayman Brac. A direct flight from Miami takes about 70 minutes.

GETTING AROUND BY CAR There are plenty of car rental agencies on Grand Cayman and a limited number on Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. Most have modern fleets, and many cars are right-hand drive. Bikes, mopeds and scooters can also be rented. Roads are generally in good condition.
You must be 21 years old to rent a car; however, many agencies will not rent to anyone under 25 years. To rent a car you will need an International Driver's License or you can purchase a temporary Cayman Islands driver's license for US$7.50 at the car rental agency or the Vehicle & Licensing Department. Ensure you bring your valid driver's license from home and your valid passport.
Driving is on the left. Seat belts are mandatory. Helmets are mandatory on mopeds, scooters and motorcycles. Laws against driving while intoxicated are strictly enforced.

BY BUS Privately-owned minibuses provide public transportation. Licensed minibuses are identified by blue license plates and can be flagged down with a wave of your hand. The bus terminal is located near the Public Library on Edward St in downtown George Town. Buses run from George Town to West Bay (CI$1.50 each way) every 15 minutes, Sun-Thurs 6am-11pm and Fri-Sat 6am-12 midnight; to Bodden Town (CI$1.50 each way) every 30 minutes, Sun-Thurs 6am-11pm and Fri-Sat 6am-12 midnight; and to East End and North Side (CI$2 each way) every hour, Sun-Thurs and Sat 6am-9pm and Fri 6am-12 midnight. All buses must display the government-authorized fare table.
Colour-coded logos on the front and rear of the buses identify the routes as follows: - Yellow, Route 1: George Town to West Bay - Lime green, Route 2: George Town to West Bay - Blue, Route 3: George Town depot to Bodden Town - Purple, Route 4: George Town depot to East End - Red, Route 5: George Town depot to East End and North Side - Dark green, Route 6: North Side to West Bay - Dark green with white numbers, Route 7: inter-district service for George Town - Orange, Route 8: George Town depot to Hutland in North Side
