DESCRIPTION:
Built in the 1940s by the Duke of Marlborough, Drambuie Estate in Montego Bay is a slice of old Jamaica when lively drawing room conversation and gracious service ruled the day in an extraordinary private setting. This exquisitely furnished, child-friendly, five-bdrm, five-bath, hillside villa features vaulted ceilings, Chinese rugs, original art, carved sculpture, Chippendale and Queen Anne treasures, a great room with pool table, large-screen TV, DVD/VCR and sound system, Internet access, games tables, library, bar, sitting area, exercise room, telescope, French doors that open to a 330-degree wraparound furnished stone verandah, large freshwater swimming pool, shaded luncheon pavilion and a full staff, including full-time driver. All bdrms have air conditioning, mini-refrigerators, patio/balcony access, satellite TV, ensuite baths and king-sized beds (except one room has a queen-sized bed). A tiled path leads 30 feet from the Main House to The Cottage with a furnished verandah and three bdrms. Nine steps from The Cottage is the fifth bdrm, an intimate hideaway for two.
