The penthouses and two bedroom accommodations include DVD players, however DVD players are also available from Reception along with an extensive, current DVD rental library. Lanterns by the Sea Restaurant, is brilliantly situated right on the beach, offering fabulous views as well as a delicious selection of local and international cuisine. Buoni Amici at the Waters Edge
The name Buoni Amici at the Water's Edge, translates to Good Friends at the Water's Edge, which captures the spirit of this inviting beachfront Italian restaurant and bar. Open for dinner only, Buoni Amici has a delectable menu of Italian inspired cuisine and a warm and inviting atmosphere. Pasta, pizza and tasty gourmet cuisine, complemented by an excellent wine selection, make this the perfect place to dine with that special someone or with good friends.
Pool Bar
No need to dry off, just swim right up to the Pool Bar and enjoy refreshing tropical cocktails!

For those who value a good work-out, our air-conditioned Fitness Centre is well equipped with all the latest cardiovascular and strength training machines. Including free weights, stair climbers, weight machines, treadmills, elliptical cross training machines, exercise balls and more. Join our aerobic classes for an exceptional cardiovascular work-out or Yoga to relax, strengthen, lengthen and tone.
Proper gym attire is required. The fitness centre is available for guests 16 years and over.
Hospitality Lounge
Hospitality Lounge is fully-air conditioned, with a comfortable seating area, cable television, and two bathrooms with showers. After check out, you can enjoy your last hours in the sun, then shower and relax in total comfort before departing for the airport.

Located in the main lobby, La Tienda Boutique offers a beautiful range of swimsuits, colourful beach wraps and beach gear. For memorable souvenirs there is Bougainvillea branded clothing, handcrafted mahogany & pottery, beautiful works of art, and exquisite jewellery. Pools
Lay back and relax around one of our three pools or swim-up and have a refreshing cocktail at the bar. There are also two small, shallow wading pools for the little ones.
Tennis
For fitness or fun, our championship-sized hard court is available for daytime or floodlit evening play. Racquets can be obtained through Guest Services and balls can be purchased at La Tienda boutique in the lobby.
Water World Watersports
Water World is the place to go for watersports! Complimentary boogie boarding, snorkelling equipment and kayaking are available, but your options are endless - windsurfing, kite surfing, hobie-cat sailing, jet-skis, towables and turtle trips to name just a few! Our Watersports attendants are on hand to take care of you as you soak up the sea, sun and sand.

AREA ATTRACTIONS
Barbados is the most easterly island in the Caribbean, and is just 21 miles long and 14 miles wide. With a relatively flat landscape, excellent infrastructure and reliable and varied transportation system, it is easy to explore the many activities and things to do in the gem of the Caribbean.
Below are a few places of the places of interest, which are in relatively close proximity to Bougainvillea and the approximate driving time. However, you do have an unending list of options, from cruises to helicopters, off-road tours to submarines! St. Lawrence Gap - 5 minutes
The St. Lawrence Gap, fondly referred to as "The Gap", is arguably the most popular spot on the island with excellent restaurants offering a range of prices to fit every pocket; vibrant nightlife, lively bars and you can do a bit of souvenir shopping too!
Oistins - 5 minutes
Oistins is a fishing village, which is transformed on Friday nights into the place to be, with Caribbean music playing, local rum flowing and an extensive array of colourful shacks serving the most authentic Caribbean food at just US$10 - $15 a plate! Oistins, is great for meeting, mixing, mingling and partying the night away in true Caribbean style. Ask about our Friday night shuttle to Oistins!
Bridgetown - 20 minutes
Bridgetown is the capital of Barbados and aside from having enormous historical significance, with the third oldest parliament buildings and the oldest jewish synagogue in the western hemisphere as well as a statue of Lord Nelson, which predates the Trafalfar Square statue in London, just to name a few highlights; Bridgetown offers excellent duty free shopping, especially on jewellery, fragrances and liquor. Remember you will need your ?departure card? and your passport or other ID, to take advantage of duty free prices! There is a complimentary shuttle to Bridgetown Mondays to Saturdays. One day advance sign-up is required.
Barbados Golf Club - 10 minutes
Barbados is recognized as a world-renowned golf destination and Bougainvillea is a part owner of the Barbados Golf Club. Along with the sun and sea, you can enjoy the beautiful and challenging 72 par, 18-hole championship course, redesigned by Ron Kirby, one of the most respected and experienced golf course architects in the world. Bougainvillea guests enjoy discounted green fees and preferential tee-times.
The Historic Garrison Area and Garrison Savannah Race Track - 15 minutes
Functioning as a British Garrison for some 126 years, this facility was in fact the first Garrison of the West Indies. Today perhaps its main focal point is the Garrison Savannah, which is Barbados? only horse racing track. Horse racing takes place most Saturdays and is an exciting way to spend the day and maybe try the odds!
The Barbados Museum - 15 minutes
You can discover the history and culture of Barbados with a visit to the Barbados Museum, which is located in the Historic Garrison Area.
George Washington House - 15 minutes
The young George Washington and his ailing brother Lawrence resided in this historic plantation house, also known as Bush Hill House, for two months in 1751. Barbados was the only country ever visited by the future ?First Father? of his country and Bush Hill House the only house he ever lived in outside of the continental United States. The house has been beautifully restored and is well worth a visit. George Washington House is located in the Historic Garrison Area.
Sheraton Mall - 5 minutes
Sheraton Mall is a shopping and entertainment complex with approximately 120 stores, services and eateries along with the only multiplex cinema on the island.
Globe Drive-In - 5 minutes
If you hire a car and explore the island by day, then maybe dinner and a movie at night? Step back in time at Barbados? lone drive-in movie theatre! Drive right up and enjoy the latest releases.

We are 15 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes from the capital, Bridgetown and just 5 minutes from two of the biggest attractions and activities in Barbados - Oistins, popular for its Friday night Fish Fry, where you can experience local food and music while meeting & mingling with Bajans and visitors to the island; and St. Lawrence Gap, the restaurant and nightlife capital of the island.
