Barbados Golf and Country Club - Golf enthusiasts will enjoy their rounds with our 'Tee off Time' Golf Package at the renowned PGA championship Barbados Golf Club. The original Barbados Golf and Country Club was designed and built in 1974 by the notable architect Col. J. Harris. For more than 20 years it has laid sleeping and awaiting its rebirth. In August 2000 the redesigned and completely reconstructed Barbados Golf Club reopened as Barbados first Championship golf course that is open to visitors. The 6,700 yards par 72 course is an official destination of the PGA European Tour.
Magnificent trees strategically planted 25 years ago give the course a mature ambience. Two lakes intrude and enhance play on five holes and create a dramatic Amen Corner on holes 15 and 16. A series of coral waste bunkers carved through 4 holes adds to the excitement and personality of the course. DIRECTIONS From Grantley Adams International Airport, take the second exit from the roundabout. After approximately 5 miles, turn left at the Fourth round about and continue to drive along until you reach the next roundabout. Turn right and continue to drive along the Coast. The drive along the south coast will be approximately 5 miles.
After passing the Garrison Savannah Race Course on your right hand side continue to drive along until reach the Texaco Gas Station on your left. Turn left immediately after the Texaco Gas Station and proceed to Hilton Barbados Hotel.
