There are so many great products in the Caribbean that it's guaranteed that you'll
be tempted to shop. It might be colourful beachwear, evening
fashions, an exquisite piece of art, an ultra-smart purse,
a tropical
shirt, a gorgeous piece of jewellery or native crafts.
When we arrived here in Bonaire in July of 1981, Bonaire
was a sleepy little island with a population of around six
thousand people. There were not many cars, not much to do, no fine
restaurants, the supermarkets were usually empty.
All the things a
